The median price for a single-family home on the Island of Montreal reached $690,000 in the first few months of 2021, a new report by the Quebec Professional Association of Real Estate Brokers (QPAREB) shows.
At the same time last year, the median price for a single-family home on the Island was $542,000 — an increase of 27%.

This is also an increase from the end of 2020 when the median price for a single-family home on the Island of Montreal was $630,000.
According to the QPAREB report, the median prices of condos and plexes on the Island of Montreal are also on the rise.Â
The median price of condos went from $380,000 in the first quarter of 2020 to $400,000 in the first quarter of 2021, up 5%.
The median price of plexes rose 11% over the course of the year from $660,000 in the first quarter of 2020 to $733,500 in the first quarter of 2021.Â
