Staff at a Montreal-area zoo have something to crow about. A raven suspected to have been stolen from the Montreal Ecomuseum Zoo in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue last week — prompting its director to plead for his return — has been found safe.

Kola, a raven with health problems, was found by police on Saturday in a sealed plastic bin near l’Anse-à-l'Orme, said David Rodrigue, executive director of the Ecomuseum, in a statement posted to Facebook.

The Ecomuseum Zoo in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue is one resident short after the possible theft of Kola the raven.

The bird went missing sometime between Monday night and Tuesday morning after a break-in, said David Rodrigue, executive director of the Ecomuseum, in a statement posted to Facebook.

As Longueuil prepares to cull a group of deer, the Miller Zoo has made a final attempt to keep them alive.

After receiving what the zoo says were many messages from customers, it made a public offer to welcome the deer into its facility in Frampton.

"Ultimately, the decision is not ours," the zoo wrote in a Facebook post. "However we want to offer an alternative to the parties involved."
