Thomas Merritt

Thomas Merritt, Phd (he/him) is a contributing writer for MTL Blog. He is a past Canada Research Chair and a professor at Laurentian University where he studies genetic complexity and molecular evolution. His writing, on the science of coffee and otherwise, has appeared in The Conversation Canada. Thomas is an avid outdoorsperson with a collection of over a hundred coffee makers. When possible, he can be found combining these two passions and making a coffee outside.
