In a new poll by the Angus Reid Institute, over half of Quebec respondents said that Canada should reach a vaccination rate of at least 75% before opening the U.S. border. 

With many Canadians already envisioning a life post-COVID-19, the poll found that a "vast majority (69%)" are willing to wait it out until "at least three-quarters" of the country are fully vaccinated before opening the border to travel.

Ninety-one percent of Quebecers support Canada's new international travel restrictions, including suspending flights to sun destinations and mandatory hotel quarantines, according to survey results released by Montreal marketing firm Leger on February 1. 

While the current flight suspension is limited to destinations like Mexico and the Caribbean, 89% of Quebecers surveyed said they support a total ban on international travel until seeing a reduction in COVID-19 cases over several consecutive days.
