There are many things that make hockey such a widely loved sport, and the fans are near the top of the list. That's especially true of the Habs, who have a diehard fan base renowned for the passion and excitement they bring season after season. 

It's true that Montreal Canadiens fans are always behind their team, and in the playoffs, the crowd — often referred to as "the seventh player" — gives the home team a massive boost.  These are the fans Molson Export (fan and proud Canadiens partner) has been celebrating all year with their Here's to the Real Ones campaign.

Fowl news. Butters, a wild turkey who brought joy to pandemic-weary Montrealers with his camera-friendly personality, died after being struck by a vehicle Thursday night, according to posts on the Butters NDG fan page.

“I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but our beloved Butters life has been cut short,” states a post on the page from January 28. “I witnessed his demise on the corner of Westminster & Cote Saint Luc road about 20 minutes ago.”

The once-named Montreal Impact soccer team certainly has a dedicated fan club. One of its biggest, the Ultras Montréal, along with several other fan clubs, have launched a petition against the new "Club de Foot Montréal" team name. 

The petition, which has over 4,800 signatures as of January 25, is "raising an alarm" to show "the real emotion that this rebranding arouses for our community."
