Food Network Canada's new show, Cheese: A Love Story, explores the art of one of Canada's most beloved dairy products: cheese. And there's going to be a whole episode dedicated to Quebec, featuring two Montreal chefs/owners of beloved local restaurants.

In the agenda for Montreal's City Council on Monday, January 25, a "Non-partisan motion calling on the City of Montreal to urge the government to Canadian to decriminalize simple possession of drugs for personal use" is set to be debated.

On December 15, the City of Montreal, the Government of Quebec, the Réseau Express Métropolitain (REM) and CDPQ Infra announced a major transit project called the REM de l'Est.

The project, a major public transit extension into Montreal's east end, will consist of 32 kilometres of automated light-rail lines and 23 stations serving an estimated 133,000 people a day.

Quebec's minister of public security, Geneviève Guilbault, announced that the ministry would be testing its Québec En Alerte emergency alert system in Quebec next week... so don't panic when you see the message even if it feels like a classic 2020 situation.

The alert is set to go off on November 25 at 1:55 p.m. 

The ministry has clarified the message will inform Quebecers that there is no real threat and the notification is being carried out as a test.
