Who hasn't dreamed of winning the lottery and buying a mansion? But anything can happen! And even if you never win the lottery, there's still a possibility that you might one day buy a million-dollar house in Quebec.

Whether it's near Quebec City, the Outaouais, the Laurentians or Montreal, there is plenty of choice when it comes to finding a home in the seven figures. And they're way more fun to peruse than $1,000/month rental apartments.

In Montreal, summer means more than just fun in the sun. It's a season that brings people together — something many Montrealers have been missing over the past year.

There's no doubt summer 2021 is particularly special. With restrictions easing for the first time in months, the spirit of celebration is in the air, and people are ready to make this season one for the history books.

Is there any better way to kick off summer in this city than with Saint-Jean-Baptiste? As a celebration of Quebec's heritage and history, it’s one of the province's favourite holidays and with good reason. It's expected to be a beautiful weekend in Montreal with sunny highs of 26 degrees on Saturday and 28 degrees on Sunday, based on The Weather Network's forecast. As summer officially begins on June 20, there's no better time to spend a day by the pool.

"After more than a year without an event at the Beachclub, it's finally time to announce the come back of our famous POOL PARTY on our little island this summer!" reads a Beachclub Instagram post.

The city is shutting down several Montreal wading pools indefinitely due to "difficulties in complying with the provincial regulation respecting water quality," confirmed Pascale Sévigny, communications officer for the City of Montreal.

Sévigny said the Institut national de santé public (INSPQ) recommended closing wading pools that don't have "water circulation and treatment systems," which allow for maintenance of their chlorine levels and for disinfection, due to the COVID-19 situation.

The summer is short in Montreal, which means we have to take full advantage of all possible pool days. Thank goodness Club LaCité's downtown rooftop pool is reopening to the public on June 7.

If you want to feel like you've been transported to a resort in Cuba or anywhere in the Caribbean — without leaving Montreal — then this place is about to become your summer hangout spot.

Quebec City's beer garden pool, La Cour arrière du Festibière, has announced it's reopening its terrasse for the season on May 28, and it might be the coolest spot to get a drink in the province — literally.

As Narcity Québec reports, the pub features chairs and tables in a shallow pool where patrons can sip a beer while dipping their feet in the water.

If the past year has taught us anything, it's that home is a haven like no other.

And while your immediate living space should be a place that brings you joy, your neighbourhood is equally as important. As the saying goes: it's all about location, location, location — and that's especially true of Quartier des Spectacles, which has a little something for everyone at any time of the year.
