The CAQ Got Québec Solidaire To Take Down A 'Heinous' Post About Legault Letting Women Die
In a March 24 tweet, Deputy Premier Geneviève Guilbault condemned a Québec solidaire Facebook post blaming Premier François Legault for a recent string of femicides in Quebec.
Earlier the same day, Guilbault confirmed that seven women have died as a result of gender-based violence in seven weeks, calling for an end to violence against women in the province.

The post said, "The pandemic isn't an excuse to let women die, Mr. Legault."
Guilbault tweeted in response, "While all of Quebec must unite against violence against women, @QuebecSolidaire divides. We ask you to remove this heinous publication."
Manon Massé, one of two current Québec solidaire party leaders, said the post was "out of line" and that she did not approve it before it was posted.
"I have asked my team to remove it promptly. Let's focus on the objective," Massé tweeted.
