Quebec Is Going To Increase Police Presence During Easter Weekend

Premier François Legault confirmed that there will be increased police presence during Easter weekend in Quebec in order to discourage private gatherings

He issued a stern reminder to all Quebecers that "it's not a good idea to have family parties or invite your friends over."

"The next few days will be critical," said Legault.

The premier reminded the province that private gatherings are still not allowed. Legault said he would enlist the "Minister of Public Security to make sure our police officers are very present during Easter weekend."

"The problems are not the rules in place, but the people who don't follow them."
