A man wanted in a fatal 2025 hit and run in British Columbia has been arrested in Quebec.

Police say the man was arrested by RCMP with help from the Quebec provincial police on Oct. 14 near Drummondville, about 100 kilometres northeast of Montreal.

The man has since been transported back to B.C., where he is facing one count of failure to remain at the scene of a crash.

The collision happened on June 15, 2025, near Oliver, when the BC Highway Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash near the Cassini Winery.

A 22-year-old male pedestrian was struck in the collision and died at the scene, and the driver involved did not remain there.

Police say they were able to identify the suspect partly with the help of public tips, and the BC Prosecution Service approved the charge against the driver on June 5 of this year.
