The Société de transport de Montréal (STM) has never shied away from a comical online moment, whether it be Metro stations getting Star Wars-themed names for May The 4th, or new holiday-themed station names during the winter season that are as clever as they are quirky, and this time around is no different.

The STM matched Montreal Metro stations with a number of zodiac signs and we're not going to lie… some are pretty accurate. In a two-part series titled "Your Metro station according to your zodiac sign" posted to the STM TikTok page, the transit agency hilariously paired six different zodiac signs with specific Montreal Metro stations — defending their stance with a quick (and witty) reason why and to be fair, the math was mathing.

Transit riders in Laval and Longueuil will be able to save a few bucks on their trips to Montreal this fall.

When the Montreal area completed its transition to a new transit fare schedule in July, Lavallois.es and Longueuillois.es saw price increases on tickets to Montreal. Since July 1, someone trying to get to Montreal by metro or bus from Laval or Longueuil has had to dish out $5.25 for a one-trip ticket, $10 for a two-trip ticket or $45 for a 10-trip ticket.

The day has officially arrived! Seven Montreal metro stations are now free on weekends this summer from June 24 to September 5 — all as an initiative to promote public transit use throughout the 514.

The news was first announced back on June 16, when Montreal Mayor, Valérie Plante announced that seven stations along the green and orange line would be free to access during the summer.
