December is generally a month spent with loved ones, wrapping up the past year while setting intentions for the new one. But with holiday gatherings cancelled in Quebec red zones , it's bound to be different this time around.

Since 2020 was a rollercoaster shitshow — complete with a global pandemic , devastating wildfires , mass protests and murder hornets — it's safe to assume the world is ready to throw this year into the trash where it belongs.

Well it's that time of the year where the entire city gets plastered with crappy campaign posters and people seem to be reacting to them differently.

Most of us ignore them because we don't take voting advice from cardboard. Some people feel the need to modify the posters in the most creative ways . And just the other day I saw an old man walking down the street ripping down every sign he came across.

A man from Edmonton was pulled over by a cop earlier this week. He wasn't driving erratically or anything but his car was decorated in a pretty original way. He decided to equip his vehicle with a large pink sign that read: "Fvck Harper."

The cop asked him to remove the sign but when the man refused, he was given a $548 fine.

Let's face it, no one want to be a hipster and no one refers themselves as a hipster. If you did you wouldn't be a hipster. (It's complicated, I know) In fact the word hipster is too played out and doesn't apply to Montreal, you can't be a hipster here because everyone in the city dresses weirder than you do. We even have our own word for Hipster in Montreal, we call them "plateau people." But if you want to avoid being associated with hipsters you should probably be avoiding the following behaviors.

Someone has been having fun with an electronic traffic sign in Montreal. This photo was taken on De La Verendrye and posted on reddit . The funny thing is that no one seems to care much because we also found another picture of the sign posted on Spotted Montreal , which means this was up for at least few hours and no one bothered take it down.

Way to be awesome Montreal, this either proves that we don't like to complain needlessly or that we care about safety so much that no one dared to use their phone while driving to call someone and signal the problem. (ha!)
