Here's Everything You Can Do To Get Into The Playoff Spirit With The Habs This Year

It's official: the Montreal Canadiens are in the playoffs and that means it's time to throw on your retro jersey, grab your roomies and celebrate like you're at a Habs game IRL.
May 20 marks the Game 1 opening-round matchup in Toronto against the Maple Leafs, which is sure to be one for the books. For this game and every game during the 2021 playoffs season, the Montreal Canadiens will be hosting a whole series of events and initiatives so you can cheer on the Habs in style.
Presented by the team's four-pillar partners — RONA, Scotiabank, Lafleur and Ford — these experiences are the perfect way for any Habs fans to celebrate the playoffs.
Watch The "GO HABS GO" Banner Fly Through The Sky
Exclusively ahead of Game 1 on May 20, Habs fans can see the "GO HABS GO" banner that'll be flying over downtown Montreal, the Old Port and along the Lachine Canal. It'll be soaring through the sky for two hours starting at noon, and you'll want to have your phone at the ready because your pic could score you a big prize.
If you share and tag a photo of the banner on Twitter using the hashtag #AIRCH, you'll have the chance to win one of three prize packs including an official team jersey and a $100 promo code for Tricolore Sports, the Montreal Canadiens' official store.
Catch The Bilingual Watch-Along On Twitch
Starting at 7:30 p.m. for the May 20 game only, you can join Marc Dumont and Kevin Raphael on the team's Twitch channel. Watch along throughout the entirety of the game and get ready for a series of surprise guests, too.
If you're missing the vibe of the stadium, this is a a great way to (virtually) interact with fellow fans. So throw on your jersey, grab your fave Canadian refreshment and get ready for Game 1.
Get A Free Authentic Canadiens-Themed Tattoo
From 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. EST every game (whether home or away), diehard Habs fans can get inked with an authentic Canadiens-themed tattoo for free at Adrenaline, located in downtown Montreal at 1541, rue Sherbrooke O.
Whether it's your first tattoo or one of many, nothing says superfan like ink. Spaces will be on a first-come, first-serve basis, so don't miss your spot.
Listen To A DJ Set From The Bell Centre
Tune in to the Habs Twitch channel half an hour before each game (so 7:00 p.m. for Game 1, 6:30 p.m. for Game 2, etc) to get primed and pumped for every game to come with a DJ set broadcast live from the Bell Centre.
With Ronin opening Game 1 and the likes of Fafa Khan, Domeno and Tizi on rotation in the games to come, you don't want to miss it!
Nerd Out With A Pre-Game Q&A Hosted By Marc Dumont
From Game 2 onwards, Habs fans can join in on a live pre-game Q&A session hosted by Marc Dumont. The Q&A will be held on the team's Twitter from 6:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. EST.
For some extra fun, fans will have the opportunity to ask a question and get a chance to win an exclusive $400 gift package.
If you're looking for even more ways to get in the playoff spirit this year, you can pick up your free Canadiens tricolour face paint kit at participating RONA stores throughout the Greater Montreal area, while supplies last.
You can also show the team a little love with a GO HABS GO lawn sign available at Tricolore Sports. Plus, in honour of the 2021 Playoffs, they'll donate 21% of all proceeds to the Canadiens Children's Foundation.
If you don't have a lawn, don't sweat it, because you can get your virtual GO HABS GO sign as a VR filter on the Habs' official Instagram account.
Whether you're going IRL or virtial, each day of the playoffs, one lucky fan who posts a shot of thier lawn sign on Twitter or Instagram story using the hashtag #CHezNous will be entered to win an official 2021 Canadiens playoff rally towel and a team cap.
