Tim Hortons Opened In South Korea & It Puts Canada's Menu To Shame
Canadians have it pretty good when it comes to Tim Hortons' menus across the true north.
From Iced Capps, and Timbits all the way to our superior wraps and coffee drinks, Timmies is a Canadian staple. Nevertheless, it seems as if some other countries are upping the ante when it comes to their Tim Hortons menu.
While it's no secret that Tim Hortons in countries such as Spain, Dubai and India offer a slew of different menu items that you wouldn't be able to get your hands on here in Canada, it appears as if the Tim Hortons in South Korea, of all places, is putting everyone to shame.
James Bok, a Canadian TikTok creator is currently in South Korea and documented his visit to Tim Hortons. In the minute-long TikTok, which has since garnered nearly 500,000 views and over 35,000 likes, Bok showcases the interior of the Korean Tim Hortons as well as the maple-filled menu.

"It's finally here. I'm so excited to show you guys everything here at Tim Hortons Korea 'cause it was truly a different experience compared to back home in Canada," Bok said at the start of the video.
The Tim Hortons is located in Gangnam, South Korea, marking the very first Canadian coffee house in South Korea, per Restaurant Brands International.
"You'll know you've arrived at the right place when you see a building that looks like it has been hit by giant Timbits," Bok said. And he wasn't wrong. The exterior of the Tim Hortons in South Korea has loads of massive hole-shaped spaces in the wall.
The second you walk in, you're met with tons of Canadian imagery from maple leaves in every corner of the restaurant, Canadian landmarks and classic Timmies decor. This is all thanks to Korean's love for our country, which Bok said is typical considering "Koreans love all things branded Canada."
Bok showed off the stunning merch display with quality tumblers for sale presented on a bed of coffee beans. But what about the menu?
"The menu is different but in the best way possible," the Tiktok creator said.
While Tim Hortons in South Korea offers the classic Timbits, coffee and donuts, they also have a few other mouthwatering menu items that make it clear Canadian Tim Hortons really need to step up their game.
From madeleines, special Timbits, and Basque cheesecakes, all the way to maple croissants and maple sandwiches, the South Koreans Timmies isn't messing around.
In fact, they've even got maple-flavoured cheese melts, which Bok described as "so Korean cause Koreans love their sweet and savoury combos."
Bok ordered a medium Iced Capp, a box of "special" Timbits and a Maple cheese melt, and despite them all appearing delicious, it was a lot more expensive than what you'd pay in Canada.
The three items Bok got came up to nearly $18, which would go for roughly $12 to $13 in Canada. Nevertheless, Bok said that quality is "top tier" and it was "worth every penny."
