Canada Is Still Hiring Census Workers In Some Quebec Areas & The Pay Isn't Too Shabby
Statistics Canada (StatCan) is looking to hire a number of census workers in Quebec and several positions are still available in communities across the province. The pay isn't too shabby, either.
Leading up to the May 2021 census, StatCan will hire 32,000 workers across Canada, including over 5,700 in Quebec.*

Three roles are available: Crew Leader, Crew Leader Assistant, and Enumerator.
In Quebec, positions are available in the following regions and communities as of February 8:
- Nunavik and Cree
- Abitibi-Témiscamingue
- Montreal – Ville-Marie borough
- Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu
- Montreal – Plateau
Hourly pay varies by position, with most jobs paying between $17.83 and $21.77 per hour.
In remote communities, the pay rate ranges between $29.25 to $31.25 per hour.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be able to work in Canada, and willing to work mainly evenings and weekends.
