Contributing Writer

Ever wonder if people are happier elsewhere? Well, a new study put together by Léger found the top 100 happiest cities in Quebec to help you answer that question.

The Léger Happiness Index (LHI) is calculated based on 25 influencing factors, including money, love, and a sense of accomplishment.

According to a survey of 61,350 Quebecers, the top three happiest places in the province are Shefford, with an average LHI score of 81.88, Gaspé (79.76) and Dollard-Des Ormeaux (78.07).

If you're wondering where Montreal landed on this list, it was near the bottom at number 95 out of 100. Montreal got an average LHI score of 67.71, which is lower than the province's 69.65 average LHI.

It looks like the city has got some work to do in regards to its population's happiness.
