Quebec Is Working On An Order Of Summer Reopenings Inspired By Other Countries

But there are no definitive dates yet.

During a news-filled press conference on Tuesday, Premier François Legault hinted that Quebec's public health authorities are working on a plan to schedule a "sequence" of summer reopenings that is inspired by countries like Israel and the United Kingdom.

"There are a lot of questions about what's coming in the next weeks and months — what we'll be reopening, what we'll be allowed to do this summer," said Legault.

This sequence, as described by the premier, is a plan without definite dates yet but is looking at "examples where there are elevated vaccination rates."

"For example, in Israel or the United Kingdom, to use them as models to be able to respond the most effectively at what's to come," explained Legault.

"Will we be able to go to a show or a festival? Will we be able to have gatherings this summer? I understand that people want an indication but [...] it's too early to say."
