Montreal has no shortage of hair salons, but I find one thing lacking is a reasonably-priced cut. Finding anything below even $30 (yeah, for women) is nearly impossible, to say the least.
So where do you go to get your hair cut when you are a little short on money? I had to do some digging to come up with these solutions (most of which I did not even realize were an option). I polled friends, poured over Reddit and read every review on Yelp and TripAdvisor. And these were the five places that kept coming up time and time again.
I have had personal experience with getting my own cut at hair schools before (back when I was in school), but I hadn’t visited one in Montreal. After talking to friends and family who absolutely swear by student cuts, I will definitely be giving one of them a try next time.

This is a no-nonsense, no-frills salon in Verdun that will give you a straightforward cut for cheap.
