There's nothing quite like watching the season change from winter to spring as the weather warms in Montreal and flowers begin to bloom. And, while the Botanical Garden is awesome, it's not the only place in the city to see stunning florals. In fact, there are many great spots around the city to see the flowers bloom for free. 

The Botanical Garden also costs $16.50 for Quebec residents. Again, no shade toward the Botanical garden (you're lovely and precious), but sometimes we want to enjoy the beauty of nature without having to pay for it.

It may be winter now, but Montreal will blossom and grow into spring before we know it. And although this winter may seem bleaker than usual, it doesn't mean we can't spend our days daydreaming of places to see in Montreal that get filled with flowers come spring.

Spring is always a beautiful time of year no matter where you are, but there's something about spring in Montreal that's particularly spectacular. Not that we like to brag or anything.

Flowers — as gifts or home decor — can add beauty and magic to our lives, but they often disappoint us within a week or two when they inevitably die. And none of us need more disappointment in 2020. Iruda Atelier, a Griffintown flower shop run by florist Iruda Kim, solves that problem by making bouquets out of "premium dried flowers," which are designed to last up to 24 months. 

What's even more impressive is that Kim offers the option of putting the dried flowers in bubbles, which are unlike anything typically seen in Canada.

They're giving us major fairy-tale vibes. Remember Belle's enchanted glass-encased rose in Beauty and the Beast? Yeah. That.
