Remember how joyous it was to jump around on a bouncy castle when you were a kid? Well, your inner child can relive the fun this summer when Big Bounce Canada, the world's biggest touring inflatable amusement park, comes to town after being postponed last year.
And for those of you who want to be kids-at-heart without actually having to interact with any kids, particularly screaming ones, there are adult-only time slots during which no children are allowed. However, the rules do stipulate that "everyone MUST behave like an overgrown child."
Covering over 24,000 square feet and towering 32 feet from the ground, the world's largest bouncy castle (yes, it actually holds the official Guinness World Record) is an inflatable dreamland filled with blow-up attractions that everyone can enjoy — from basketball hoops for the jocks to a ball pit for the playful to oversized couches and chairs for the chillers. There's even a 20-foot-tall multi-coloured rabbit you can climb.
But that's not all. Here are some other attractions that make up the theme park:
- The Giant: Over 300 metres long with 50 different obstacles to overcome as aspiring Ninja Warriors make their way from the starting line to the grand finale monster slide.
- OctoBlast: A deep sea world that's part bouncer, part foam party.
- Air Space: A five-lane slide lets you glide into the Spaceman moon base where you can chill in a moon crater ball pit with friendly aliens, pink space monsters and more.
- Sport Slam: A customized sports arena filled with goals, nets, hoops, a climbing area and balls of every size. There's also a battle zone where you can compete against family and friends as an MC/referee oversees all games and competitions.
Big Bounce Canada is set to tour all around Canada in the coming months, including stops in Hamilton on June 29 and Ottawa on July 12. The park is expected to touch down in Montreal on July 27 and stay here until August 11.
Tickets for adults (16 and older) generally start at $52 and are valid for three houses of "inflatable madness." Children's tickets typically range from $32 to $45. There are also tickets available for purchase at the box office on-site, but it costs less to buy them online in advance. If you're not bouncing, you're allowed to enter the grounds for free.
The Montreal location has yet to be announced, but you can sign up for updates on the Big Bounce Canada website.
