Canada's busiest airports didn't do so hot in a new ranking, and Montreal's Trudeau International Airport was no exception.

According to J.D. Power's 2024 North America Airport Satisfaction Study, Canada's major hubs fell embarrassingly low in terms of customer satisfaction, especially compared to their U.S. counterparts.

Montreal's YUL airport was recently ranked as one of the best airports in the world, and now, it's taking on yet another title — one of the cleanest airports in North America.

Skytrax, a consultancy firm located in the U.K. that runs an airline and airport review and ranking site dropped its list of 2023 World Airport Awards winners. When it comes to ranking some of the cleanest airports in North America, Montreal is clearly doing something right.

Montreal's YUL airport is stepping up its travel game in an attempt to minimize security wait times. The Aéroport de Montreal introduced its newest feature, YUL Express — a free security appointment system that allows you to pass through checkpoint A security more efficiently.

"You've been waiting for it, YUL Express has arrived just in time for the holidays. If you're travelling to Canadian or international destinations, take advantage of the free YUL Express service now," the Montreal airport tweeted on December 15.

In the early evening of December 6, an individual broke the rules and walked onto the tarmac at Montreal's YUL Pierre-Elliott-Trudeau International Airport, forcing authorities to delay several flights.

ADM Aéroports de Montréal confirmed to MTL Blog that a person entered the restricted "apron" (tarmac) area, but no potential explanation for this offence was given. The culprit was rapidly stopped by ADM Airport Security and transferred to the SPVM.
