Sephora Canada is giving its Beauty Insider program a makeover with a new policy set to take effect on June 1. Members shopping online must spend at least $25 to redeem their "free birthday gift," which was previously given without a minimum purchase requirement.

While many are disappointed at the news, taking to Twitter to voice their frustration, Sephora Canada reassured customers that they can still redeem their gift for free in-store at any Sephora.

Sephora, H&M and Mugler have announced an upcoming immersive fragrance event in downtown Montreal, featuring the new Angel Elixir perfume. The pop-up promises a unique sensory experience that will allow consumers to "fully immerse themselves in the scent."

The May 11 experience will take place at Sephora on rue Sainte-Catherine, with sampling stations for attendees to check out the fragrance, as well as an infinity mirror and other interactive elements (TBA) that promise to stimulate sight, smell and touch. Those who purchase a 50ml Mugler perfume will receive an additional gift.

Calling all Sephora Canada shoppers — if you've ever bought Olaplex hair products at this big beauty store chain, you may soon be subject to a reimbursement, because a class-action lawsuit against the two companies was filed in March.

The lawsuit calls attention to one specific product, the Olaplex No. 3 Hair Repair Perfector, as it contains a "dangerous chemical" called butylphenyl methylpropional (lilial).
