This 50-minute day trip from Montreal leads to a floral dreamland with fairytale vibes

So pretty it doesn't even look real. ☁️💐☁️

You've probably heard about a variety of day trips you can take from Montreal by car. But did you know you can drive to paradise in under an hour? That's right — we have found paradise, and you don't even need to leave the province to get there.

A short 50-minute drive from the city can bring you to a garden so beautiful that it looks more like something from a storybook or fairytale than it does real life. There are heart-shaped flower arches standing more than 15 feet high, moon-shaped plant sculptures and colourful fields of blooms as far as the eye can see.

There's also a white piano, a swing and a stairway — all of which looks like they're in the middle of nowhere... well, other than being in the middle of some sort of ethereal dreamland.

In reality, the stunning set up is part of the FestiFleurs at La Belle de Coteau-du-Lac, a fruit, vegetable and agri-tourism farm in Quebec's Montérégie region.

In addition to simply marvelling at the scenery and snapping the most incredible Instagram pictures, guests can also pick their own bouquets from the vast rows of flowers — more than 200 varieties, including zinnias, rudbeckia, gomphrena, daisies, lavender, dianthus, lisianthus marigolds and more. Or, if you're more into food than flora, you can opt to pick fresh strawberries.

You're allowed to bring your own picnic to the farm, which you can enjoy on the picnic tables in the food court or eat on the grass while taking in a view of the flower fields, but the farm also has its own mobile kitchen, FestiLunch, which serves grilled meats, fruits and vegetables that actually come from the farm.

The restaurant also has sweeter treat options, like sorbets, smoothies, slush, popcorn and donuts.

This coming weekend is your last chance to experience the magic of FestiFleurs, as its last few days of the season take place between August 2 and 4 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. plus evening hours on Saturday.

By the way, just when you thought the place couldn't get any more enchanting, the night event means visitors can watch the sunset and roast marshmallows on campfires in the heart of the flower fields.

Prices range between $12 for children (admission only) and $65 for a family of four with two bouquets included... not bad considering you're gaining entry to heaven on earth.
