If seeing Mickey and Minnie has been on your bucket list, but the cost of visiting Disney World from Canada has been holding you back, there's some fantasmic news on the horizon!

Walt Disney World shared with Narcity Canada and MTL Blog that it is launching hotel and ticket discounts specifically for Canadian residents. As of September 10, Canadians hoping to soak up some Disney magic will be able to save 25% or more on Walt Disney World theme park tickets for visits of four days or longer.

These Canadian-only prices will be valid for select ticket start dates in late 2024 and 2025, which means you could be sipping on specialty drinks in Epcot, waving at giraffes in Animal Kingdom, soaking up all the glamour of Hollywood Studios or absorbing every last ounce of fairy dust at Magic Kingdom at a reduced cost before the year is out.

The tickets are date-based, which means you'll need to select specific start dates when booking. The tickets are only valid on your chosen dates, and the savings range from 25% up to 33%, so choose wisely!

Under this offer, you can get discounted tickets from November 10 through December 14, 2024, and January 5 through September 27, 2025, which means you can also make the most of it during March break.

To qualify for the discount, you'll be required to show proof of your Canadian residency when you first arrive at Walt Disney World to pick up your tickets. You don't have to be a Canadian citizen to get the cheaper tickets. International students and temporary residents, for example, can get the discount as long as they have proof of a Canadian residence.

You also need to plan ahead to make the most of this deal. It's only available for advance purchases, which means you can't get money off at Disney World ticket windows on the day you're visiting.

Several types of Disney World theme park tickets are included under the offer:

  • Park Hopper Option: Visit more than one theme park on the same day.
  • Water Park and Sports Option: Visit one theme park per day. Plus, get a certain number of visits to a water park, golf course or miniature golf course based on the length of your ticket.
  • Park Hopper Plus Option: Visit more than one theme park on the same day. Plus, get a certain number of visits to a water park, golf course or miniature golf course based on the length of your ticket. This option is a combination of the Park Hopper Option and the Water Park and Sports Option.

If that wasn't enough to have you packing your bag at Lightning McQueen speed, there are also hotel discounts. Canadian residents can expect to save up to 25% on rooms at select Disney Resort hotels for stays most nights from December 9 to December 29, 2024; February 23 through April 12, 2025; and April 25 through April 30, 2025.

Other savings are available for stays from December 1 to December 8, 2024; January 4 through February 22, 2025; and April 13 through April 24, 2025.

The number of discounted rooms under this offer is limited, so don't wait to book if you have a particular hotel in mind.

Of course, all of that Disney magic still doesn't come cheap, but with discounted hotels, tickets, free things to do and a whole load of Disney tips and tricks that can make your Walt Disney World vacation a little cheaper, maybe that dream vacation is just around the river bend!
