When Time Out Market Montreal opened back in July, they knew that they had to adapt to the "new normals" of going out to eat in the city. While they have been doing an excellent job of keeping things safe for guests, employees and vendors inside, the culinary experience has opened a terrasse on Sainte-Catherine.

On Thursday, August 13, in collaboration with XP_Montreal, the Time Out team opened one of five terrasses along one of Montreal's busiest streets.

According to the XP_Montreal website, it is "a non-profit organization whose mission is to offer an event and festive programming, supported by a strong online presence and which aims to contribute Montreal downtown economy, particularly on Sainte-Catherine Street."

"XP_Montreal approached us to be part of the project and we were honoured," Sasha Manoli, Events and Marketing Manager of Time Out Market Montreal, told MTL Blog.

"We want to do our part to help bring people downtown with everything going on."

Known as the "Best of the city under one roof," you can now think of Time Out as being under one roof and in Phillip Square.

Located right next to the famed Hudson's Bay building, the terrasse is perfectly situated in the heart of the action that is the downtown core.

Tables and chairs have been set up under hanging lights that perfectly align with the rustic, yet sophisticated atmosphere inside.

The setup keeps social distancing in mind and there are signs throughout the terrasse to remind guests of the importance of staying two metres apart.

It's also a great way to try the new DoorDash delivery option.

Not only is this a nice alternative for those who are not yet ready for an indoor dining experience, but it's a fantastic way to enjoy what's left of the summer.
