As if we needed another reason to get excited for summer, reports suggest it could be possible to spot Joaquin Phoenix around Montreal in the coming months.

He's starring in a new film called Disappointment Blvd. written and directed by Ari Aster — known for Hereditary and Midsommar. According to TVA Nouvelles, it'll be filmed in Montreal from June 28 to October.

There are also reports circulating that Meryl Streep could be on board to star alongside Phoenix. But that rumour's not been confirmed on IMDb.

IMDb describes Disappointment Blvd. as "a decades-spanning portrait of one of the most successful entrepreneurs of all time." Coming from Aster, we bet it's going to get creepy.

The film is being produced by A24 — the company behind Uncut Gems, Lady Bird and Moonlight — in partnership with Aster's production company Square Peg.
