A Norwegian Company Wants To Pay Someone €8,000 To Just Surf The Web & Quebecers Can Apply

Easiest job ever.
Senior Writer

The Norwegian web browser company, Opera, is looking for someone to spend two weeks surfing the internet as normal — and they'll pay you €8,000 to do it... making it pretty much the easiest gig in existence.

According to an Opera blog post, the job responsibilities of a Personal Browser are to "browse the far corners of the web and talk about the fun and the weird stuff you come across."

Your workdays would also be shared online.

For the role of Personal Browser, the Opera team says it is looking for a person who "loves silly memes, watching baby seal videos and studying conspiracy theories."

"One might ask why on earth we are doing this, and the answer is simple: we think it’s an interesting experiment and we look forward to seeing what comes out of it,” said Opera product director Maciej Kocemba in a statement.

Applications are open to anyone in the entire world, including Quebec. You'll have to submit a short video where you talk about "the most relevant browsing moment" of your life.

You can apply on LinkedIn. The deadline is November 13, and the browsing period would begin this coming winter.
