3 Montreal-Area SAQ Locations Are Closing After 8 Workers Tested Positive

As a preventative measure, three Montreal-area SAQ locations are closing indefinitely after eight employees tested positive for COVID-19.

Every employee who recently worked at these branches is asked to isolate and get tested. And "following the recommendations of public health authorities, each of the branches [...] will be cleaned from top to bottom by a specialized firm," the SAQ said in a statement.

All three stores are located on the North Shore:

  • SAQ Sélection, 259, boulevard de la Seigneurie Ouest, Blainville, J7C 4N3

  • SAQ Dépôt, 1395, Boul. Michèle-Bohec, Blainville, J7C 0M4

  • SAQ Classique, 13370, boulevard Curé-LabelleMirabel, J7J 1G9

All other SAQ locations will remain open.

A public health investigation did not find that any customers need to enter isolation, but the Crown corporation is asking "clients who have visited one of these branches in the last few days to pay particular attention to COVID-19 symptoms."
