8 Montreal Dates Every Couple Should Do Together Before Summer Is Over

Ah, summer. Nothing quite like long summer days with love and heat feeling the air. And with so many couples having either spent months quarantining apart or months cooped up together, we're all ready to do a little summer exploring with our S.O. So, we compiled a list of Montreal summer date ideas for the lovers in the city.

For many people, summer is for fun plans and cute date ideas. And this year, we definitely need it.

Although it feels like we wait so long for long days and warm weather, before we look around, summer will be over!

Now, if you're like me, you have so many things you want to do, but summer seems to get away from you.

And although my 2020 New Year's resolution to stay organized and write down my to-do lists has gotten a late start (the first six months of 2020 are a write off anyway), no better time to start writing down ideas than now.

While we all love a spontaneous adventure, sometimes you just gotta make sure you gotta plan ahead to make sure you get to everything.

Go To Gibeau Orange Julep

Starting off with a summer classic, take a trip to Montreal's famous big orange. You can get all the classics, like hot dogs, poutine and the Orange Julep Drink.

Nothing quite like being a tourist in your own city.

Go Ice Cream Shop Hopping

For that person that you love one-cone-ditionally, head to one of Montreal's ice cream shops.

And who said you only have to try one? Try all of the city's best of the sweet treat with your sweetheart.

Have A Picnic

The best part about having some incredible parks in the city is that it means we also have some incredible spots for picnics.

Grab your favourite snacks and your favourite person and go from picnic to picnic for a cheap, yet romantic date. To take it to the next level, check out this list for the parks where you can drink under the "Picnic Law".

Take A Bike Ride

Does your S.O. make your heart flutter? You two can get your heart rate up biking through one of Canada's most romantic cities and one of the biking capitals of the world.

You'll not only see some amazing views, but you'll work off enough to do even more ice-cream hopping.

Visit The Botanical Gardens

Nothing helps your love to bloom and grow quite like taking a walk through a garden.

Montreal's Botanical Garden covers 75 hectares of themed gardens and impressive greenery, giving you lots of space for a romantic stroll.

Go To A Winery

Nothing shows off Quebec's natural beauty and love of food and wine quite like a winery. It also makes for a great spot to explore the grounds and try some of Quebec's wine.

Some are, like Vignoble Riviere du Chene, are just off the island.

Check Out A Drive-In Movie Theatre

Drive-in movies are fantastic for social distancing, but they also give you the perfect way to snuggle during the movie. Plus, the new Royalmount Drive-In Theatre is a definite summer bucket list item, in general.

Relax At A Spa

Couples who relax together, stay together.

Now that the province has begun its gradual reopening, spas have been the go-ahead to open (of course, complying with health regulations), including massages at Old Montreal's famous Bota Bota, by appointment only.

Happy summer to all the lovers out there!
