Amazon Is Hosting A Job Fair To Fill 40 Corporate & Tech Jobs In Quebec

There are 800 jobs up for grabs across Canada.

With 800 corporate and tech jobs available at Amazon Canada, the time is now to start polishing off that CV. Through the 2020 Amazon Career Day on September 16, the company is aiming to fill hundreds of jobs, including 40 in Quebec. In a statement shared with MTL Blog, Amazon said that a career at the company is "for somebody who loves to build, invent, and create value for customers."

"We’re proud to offer quality jobs for Canadians while investing in economic recovery,” said Jesse Dougherty, Amazon VP and Vancouver Site Lead.

Montrealers who sign up for the virtual event will have complete access to 1,000 recruiters offering 20,000 free coaching sessions to get you started on the right foot. 

Amazon's expansion into Montreal was capped off this summer with the opening of brand-new shipping and distribution centres.

One warehouse is in the process of hiring hundreds of workers and offers competitive hourly pay rates and a benefits package. 

The 40 new tech and corporate positions are open at Amazon and its branches such as "Alexa, AWS, Amazon Advertising, Operations Technology, and Prime Video – with additional hourly roles in Amazon’s Operations network."

Since investing in the Canadian market, Amazon has hired over 21,000 full-time and part-time employees across the country. 

"Over 30,000 Canadian small and medium-sized businesses collectively exceeded over $900 million in sales on Amazon Canada’s online stores in 2018," according to the company. 

Amazon is offering its virtual Career Day event for free and for the first time ever, Canadians can take advantage of the opportunity.

All you have to do is register for free and schedule a virtual one-on-one coaching session. 

Recruiters will match you with an appropriate coach who will guide you through the process of submitting an application.

You can also attend one of several virtual conferences hosted by none other than Queer Eye's Karamo Brown
