U.S. News & World Report has released its latest list of the "Best Places to Visit in Canada," putting Montreal and Quebec City at numbers five and six, respectively.

The Quebec metropolis and capital trail behind Jasper National Park at number four, Niagara Falls at number three, Vancouver at number two and, unsurprisingly, Banff at number one.

Mont-Tremblant is also on the list at number 10.

U.S. News & World report said Montreal stood out for its multiculturalism and the coexistence of heritage sites like Old Montreal alongside modern attractions.

According to a press release, the publication used readers' votes, as well as "expert and editor analysis" to compile its 2021 rankings. "Each destination is scored in 10 categories, from sights, culture and food to nightlife, adventure and romance, offering a comprehensive evaluation of each destination."
