Earlier this month, Health Minister Patty Hajdu said the government may scrap mandatory hotel quarantines for international air travellers in early July — if they are fully vaccinated.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also reportedly discussed loosening border measures with U.S. President Joe Biden at the Group of Seven (G7) summit in Cornwall, England.

Details on Canada's new measures for fully vaccinated travellers are expected to be announced on Monday.
