Lachine's swimming pools are staying closed for a while after a lifeguard tested positive for COVID-19. The three Montreal swimming pools at Kirkland, LaSalle, and Michel-Ménard parks, as well as the wading pool at LaSalle Park "have been closed on a preventive basis since July 22."
The borough is preparing different reopening scenarios "depending on how the situation develops," it announced on Wednesday.
Behavior and activities outside the workplace are an individual responsibility.

"Following its epidemiological investigation, the Direction régionale de la santé publique asked all lifeguards in the borough of Lachine to remain in isolation until August 5 inclusively," said the borough, adding that all lifeguards at these aquatic facilities have been tested.
Lachine said there is little risk to the public as "the outbreak is believed to be attributable to an external event."
"Behavior and activities outside the workplace are an individual responsibility," said the borough, which repeated "the prevention message launched by the Government of Quebec to young people aged 15 to 34 in order to avoid any transmission of the virus."
The borough said anyone who thinks they may have been exposed to coronavirus can call (514) 644-4545.
