Quebec Employees Will Be Able To Start Going Back To The Office By The End Of This Week

With restrictions, though.

The majority of Quebec offices have been closed since March. On July 15, Labour Minister Jean Boulet announced that businesses in the private sector can reopen offices as of Saturday, July 18, but only at an occupancy rate of 25%.

This limit may increase during the upcoming months, depending on how the pandemic continues to evolve, Boulet specified.

I want to make it clear ... that this is a maximum, and not necessarily an objective to be met.

While the offices may be open, it's still strongly recommended to work from home if possible and use video conferencing to conduct meetings and day-to-day procedures.

The minister acknowledges that although some people are able to work from home, it is not a possibility for everyone.

July 18 is also the day that face masks will be made mandatory in all indoor, public spaces in Quebec.
