Half Of Quebec's Sépaq Camping Sites Are Already Booked For The Summer Season

If you're in the process of planning your next few camping trips in Quebec for the summer season, you may want to get a head start.

Only about half of the province's camping sites are still available, according to information provided to MTL Blog by the Société des établissements de plein air du Québec (Sépaq).

Sépaq's camping network offers over 7,000 campsites across Quebec.

"Within [...] the summer season, [from] April 1 to September 30, there is still about half of the campsites [...] available," said Simon Boivin, a spokesperson for Sépaq.

"It is more crowded in some peak periods, such as July and August, where it may be a little more difficult to find exactly what you are looking for."

Boivin suggested that when booking campsites, Quebecers should be flexible regarding the destination, the lodging and the period of their desired camping trip.

"Trying a new destination or a new type of lodging could very well result in a great new experience that you may want to repeat next time," Boivin said.
