Another signature summer event won't be happening this year. The Montreal F1 Grand Prix at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve was officially cancelled by Formula 1's chairman and CEO, Chase Carey. The race is rescheduled for 2021. 

Formula 1 officials say that all races that were scheduled in North and South America, namely the Canadian, Mexican, American, and Brazilian Grand Prix, wouldn't be possible in 2020 "due to the fluid nature of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, local restrictions and the importance of keeping communities and our colleagues safe."

Formula 1 also added three dates in October to its European Grand Prix circuit. 

Formula 1 will race at historic tracks such as Germany's Nurburing and Italy's Imola Enzo Dino Ferrari track.

A Grand Prix is also being hosted in Portugal at the Algarve Circuit in Portimao.
