Contributing Writer

Since the explosion in the port of Beirut on August 4, people all around the world have been coming together to support the people of Lebanon in any way that they can. Between concerts, shows, and even everyday things, people have been able to raise funds and support the Lebanese people when they need it most. Thanks to the team at Zyara Restaurant, you can turn your next meal out into something good that'll help the people of Beirut with the "Together for Lebanon" event.

On Sunday, August 30, Zyara, a popular Lebanese restaurant in town, will have two brunch sittings, at 11 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. (the latter is sold out) and two dinner sittings, at 4:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m at the Marché Central location.

This will be a fixed priced menu, at $50 per person for brunch and $125 per person for dinner. Tax and tip are included in both and the dinner price includes two beverages.

As for what's on the menu, both brunch and dinner will include lots of mezze plates, which are perfect for sharing.

There will also be some classic Lebanese dishes, but with a Zyara twist.

100% of the proceeds will go to the Lebanese Red Cross.

Reservations can be made by calling the restaurant.

Chef Nabil told MTL Blog, "We're a new restaurant, but with everything going on decided to come together as a community and to help out where we can. What happened was a tragedy, but we need to do our part."

With so many people looking to go out as restaurants and cafés continue to reopen, why not dine and know that your meal is contributing to an unbelievable cause?

And seeing that the food is so delicious, it's a no-brainer.

But book soon — we wouldn't be surprised if another sitting booked up fast.
