"Detention centre staff, as well as incarcerated individuals, will soon be able to take advantage of the vaccination," confirmed the MSSS in an email.

In Montreal, detention centre workers and the incarcerated are already able to register to get their first dose. "Vaccination will be offered on-site for those incarcerated," stated the ministry.

In federal penitentiaries, the vaccination of incarcerated individuals is the responsibility of the federal government.
