Quebec Politicians Are Wishing President Macron Well After He Tests Positive For COVID-19
French President Emmanuel Macron has tested positive for COVID-19. This news is making headlines around the world and, naturally, Quebec politicians are wishing their fellow-francophone across the pond well during this time.
The Élysée released a statement on December 17 confirming that Macron had received a positive diagnosis for COVID-19.

Quebec Premier François Legault tweeted in French, "I wish a speedy recovery to the French President @EmmanuelMacron who tested positive for COVID-19. Quebec is with you. We will win the battle against the virus together."
Bloc Québécois leader Yves-François Blanchet tweeted to share his good wishes for a speedy recovery on behalf of himself and the entire party.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau also tweeted his thoughts to the French president from himself and his wife Sophie Grégoire-Trudeau.
In the Élysée's statement, we're told "In accordance with the health instructions in force applicable to all, the President of the Republic will be isolated for 7 days. He will continue to work and carry out his activities remotely."
According to a CTV News article, the president had met with other European leaders earlier this week, including the French Prime Minister, the Spanish president and the president of the EU council.
They are all allegedly in pre-cautionationary isolation.
