Looking for a summer job that pays well and lets you work in some of Quebec's most historic locations? Parks Canada is currently hiring students for seasonal positions in 2025.

The best part? Wages range between $17.36 and $24.62 per hour.

With less than a week left before the application deadline, the agency — recently recognized as one of Canada's top employers — is recruiting for two types of roles at sites across the province:

  • Guide-interpreter: This role involves leading tours and activities, welcoming visitors, and sharing information about Quebec and Canada's history. Topics range from military heritage to the Victorian era, depending on the site.
  • Visitor services & maintenance staff: This position focuses on site upkeep and event support, ensuring smooth daily operations.

In order to apply, candidates must be students enrolled in post-secondary studies and authorized to work in Canada. Some roles may require a Class 5 drive's licence and a security clearance. Experience in customer service, tourism, or education is also considered an asset.

Here is where the positions in Quebec are currently being offered:

  • Lieu historique national de Fort-Chambly (Chambly)
  • Lieu historique national Louis-S.-St-Laurent (Compton)
  • Lieu historique national du Commerce-de-la-Fourrure-à-Lachine (Montreal)
  • Lieu historique national de Sir-George-Étienne-Cartier (Montreal)
  • Lieu historique national des Forges-du-Saint-Maurice (Trois-Rivières)
  • Lieu historique national d'Obadjiwan-Fort-Témiscamingue (Duhamel-Ouest)
  • Lieu historique national du Fort-Lennox (Saint-Paul-de-l'Île-aux-Noix)

Hours vary, potentially including weekends and holidays, and you must be prepared to wear the Parks Canada uniform and be on your feet for long periods of time.

To apply, you can visit Parks Canada's online hiring platform.

The government agency also posts jobs directly on the Public Service Commission website at jobs.gc.ca.
