According to The Weather Network, back-to-back snow systems will target the province starting late Thursday and through Friday.

Winter is seemingly in full force as Quebec is expected to be hit with significant snowfall starting Thursday evening. Environment Canada has officially issued a winter storm warning for over 20 regions across the province.

"Hazardous winter conditions are expected," Environment Canada said. "A major weather system will move into Quebec this evening. Significant snowfall amounts, very strong winds and blowing snow are expected."

Although Quebec was hit with up to 20 centimetres of snow in the last week, it appears as if winter's rage is coming in full force as snowfall, strong winds and freezing rain are all expected across the province of Quebec beginning Thursday evening.

Environment Canada has issued a special weather warning for Montreal, Laval, Longueuil and Châteauguay as an "intense low pressure system will move over Western and Central Quebec beginning Thursday and affect these areas through Saturday."

Winter is returning full throttle this weekend as the province of Quebec is expected to be hit with up to 50 centimetres of snow by Monday, November 14. Southern Quebec has been feeling the wrath of a strong low-pressure system that has brought in generous amounts of precipitation and Eastern Quebec is next up.

According to MétéoMédia, the Quebec region is set to be hit by not one, not two, but three weather systems between now and Monday morning.

It's that time of year again in Montreal, springtime! No. Well...yes, but it's also Earth Hour. While daylight savings time may have given us an extra hour of light, today is the perfect day to go an hour without any light. On March 26, Environment Canada is encouraging all Canadians to participate in Earth Hour by turning off all non-essential lights from 8:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

"Every year, at 8:30 p.m. on the last Saturday of March, supporters in over 190 countries and territories unite, taking action on and raising awareness of the issues facing our one home," Earth Hour says.
