As the remnants of Hurricane Beryl touch down on our city, storms are wreaking havoc on the roads and power lines, leading to floods, the partial closure of the Décarie Expressway, trapped drivers and general chaos.
According to Transports Québec, in addition to the Décarie Expressway, sections of highways 40, 13 and the 520 (mainly ramps) were forced to shut down due to floods, and Météo Média reported that more than 4,000 Hydro-Québec customers in the Montreal and Montérégie regions were without power as of 6 p.m. on Wednesday.
