Sneakers have become more than just a practical shoe, they've become a way of life. Everyone knows that the shoe makes the outfit and for serious sneaker wearers, you know that kicks take it from zero to a hundred real quick. And Montreal's only sneaker convention, the Make It Pop event from Sneakpeaks, knows this is true. So, on September 3, head to Barley between 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. for an event filled with "fashion, sneakers, hip-hop and business."

You won't regret it.

Make It Pop will be the first pop-up of the year due to the cancellation of the initial event and will be completely free.

Those who had bought tickets for the event that was originally planned will have those tickets honoured at the next paid event.

You'll be able to buy, sell and trade sneakers, plus see some exclusive vendors.

There will also be free shoe cleaning, as well as giveaways all day.

What more could you want from an event?

The event will also launch Sneakpeak's summer/fall apparel collection.

Plus, a new project called Sneakeats, a menu of dishes inspired by sneakers and sneaker culture available at the event.

Talk about getting off on the right foot.

To get the most of your time at the event, the team offers some advice for your time at the Make It Pop:

- Bring out your best sneakers

- Pack a bag of items that you want to sell or trade

- Don't bring your whole bank account in cash

- Don't go broke on your kicks (or do, we won't judge)

- Make a list of what you're looking for

-Don't be afraid to ask people questions!

"This series of pop-up events called ‘Make It Pop By Sneakpeak' came to be because we were looking for ways to engage our community in between our huge biannual conventions," Yohan Rebboh, CEO of Sneakpeak told MTL Blog.

"I'm super excited to launch our Sneakeats project that we've been working so hard on and I'm excited to see and catch up with our community after so long time as well as see new faces!"
