Quebec is coming alive with summertime activities. From exploring national parks that look like the islands of Tahiti to tracking down unusual roadside wonders, our province is full of great things to do. Now, we can add Parc Omega's magical night walks to our summer bucket lists.

Omega By Night, an illuminated forest trail, is reopening on July 29 with an immersive sound and light experience.

According to the park website, the journey into the Land of the Pioneers begins at sunset.

"After passing through the cedar forest you will arrive at the marsh where you will hear frogs croaking and crickets chirping. A little further you will be able to admire the immense sculpture that is the king of the forest, the moose."

From there, you'll fall into a world of elks and watch as two males battle for domination in an ethereal animated projection.

The trail concludes at Omega's famous wolf sanctuary, "where you can admire a pack of grey wolves from up close under a full moon sky."

Photos of the trail show an otherwordly, mystical experience.

Omega says the 1.5-kilometre trail is easy, but is not paved and includes some inclines.

It takes an hour to complete.

Moreover, visitors are only allowed to walk the trail once due to pandemic-related health restrictions.

The adventure regularly costs $24.99 for adults and $17.99 for kids between the ages of six and 15. Children under six can get in for free.

But until July 28, Parc Omega has slashed these prices by 25%.

In all cases, you must make your reservation online.
