Monday afternoon's tornado in Quebec resulted in one fatality.

This unfortunate news was confirmed with MTL Blog by the police of Mascouche, the suburb where the tornado hit.

Police are still gathering information about the person who died on Monday.

So far, they know that the man tried to seek shelter in his shed when the tornado hit.

"I don't have any more details on that," a police spokesperson told MTL Blog.
