It’s your birthday and you deserve to be treated like royalty. But if you're on a budget, you’ve got to be smart about it. Lucky for you, there are a bunch of places that offer birthday freebies that you can redeem if you know where to go. Here's a list of free birthday offers you can take advantage of in Montreal.

And if it's not your birthday, one of your friends' birthday must be coming up soon, so send this list to them and be a birthday hero without spending a dime!

Over 90 Montreal Restaurants

Right off the bat here's a list of over 90 (yes, 90) restaurants where you can claim a freebie of some kind. We didn't want people whose birthdays are far away to feel left out.

1. Free Old Navy

If you register for your birthday, Old Navy claims they will give you a free mystery birthday gift. Now since they don't mention what the gift is, we assume it's either because it's always changing or it's a really shitty gift. But who cares, it's free! So go get it and please let us know what it is, because the mystery is killing us

2. Free Beauty Products

Sephora will also offer you a free gift on your birthday. In the past they've given out shampoos and lotions but this year you can get a free rouge, a free lipstick and a free mascara.

3. Free Starbucks

A free coffee isn't the most exciting reward but when the coffee costs more than 5$ it's kind of nice. Plus you can get an extra 15% off at the Starbucks Store.

4. Free Booster Juice

Go get yourself a little vitamin boost. You deserve it, plus it's free. This way you'll have the energy to get you through the day so that you can get completely trashed at night.

5. Free Boston Pizza

When you join the Boston Pizza 'My BP' program you can get free dessert on your birthday and a free individual pizza for your first anniversary. Plus you already had that free booster juice which will totally cancel out your free dessert.

6. Free Baskin Robbins

We've seen the massive lineups of people outside ice cream shops on free scoop days, so we know people love free ice cream. And the only thing better than free ice cream is free ice cream with no lineup. So go sign-up to the club and you can also get a discount on your birthday cake.

7. Free Sombrero and Slice of Cake

If you go to 3 Amigos on your birthday, you can get a free sombrero. You know, so you can look like a crazy person wearing a sombrero ... in Montreal. Or you can just settle for the slice of birthday cake. The only drawback is you actually have to eat at 3 Amigos.

8. Krispy Kreme

If you're determined enough to find a Krispy Kreme location then you can walk in on your birthday and redeem a free donut and small coffee or fountain drink. Then spend a year working it off so you'll be ready for next year's donuts.

9. American Eagle

While it's not a total freebie, if you register you get 15% off your purchases for the entire month of your birthday. You can also take advantage of other special offers and you get access to members-only sales.

10. RW & Co.

Here you can get 25% off everything during the entire week of your birthday. Plus you get additional discounts, special offers and you can take part in various contests.
