A new ranking of the best jobs in Canada for 2025 has revealed which positions Quebecers should be seeking out this year.

There are some high-paying jobs but that's not all a position needs to be the best.

On January 14, Indeed released a ranking of the best jobs of 2025 in Canada so job seekers can "find fulfilling and financially rewarding work."

For this ranking, Indeed prioritized salary, job growth and flexibility (at least 10% of job listings for that position needed to include "remote" or "hybrid").

Also, all of the jobs had to offer a wage above the Canadian median salary which is $67,400.

Indeed also noted that the more widely available a job was, the more likely it would make the ranking.

These are the best jobs of 2025 in Canada, according to Indeed, and each position's salary:

  1. Outbound sales representative — $108,149
  2. Nurse practitioner — $115,530
  3. Water resources engineer — $103,525
  4. Director of education — $98,848
  5. Civil engineer — $91,233
  6. Electrical engineer — $92,666
  7. Director of sales and marketing — $96,4594
  8. Fleet manager — $77,519
  9. Structural designer — $74,028
  10. Associate dean — $119,504
  11. Project engineer — $94,248
  12. Structural engineer — $87,986
  13. Mechanical engineer — $86,425
  14. Regional sales manager — $83,140
  15. Chief financial officer — $142,227
  16. Controller — $99,557
  17. Administrative officer — $79,243

The highest-paying jobs aren't necessarily the best in this ranking because positions also need to offer flexible work arrangements and have growth opportunities.

So, the outbound sales representative position (#1) has a lower salary than the nurse practitioner position (#2), but it offers higher opportunity growth and more hybrid or remote work.

That makes it rank as the best job in Canada for 2025.
