Winter might be coming to an end but it's Blizzard season this month.

Dairy Queen is offering their iconic Blizzard Treat for only $1 for a limited time throughout March at participating locations across Canada. Sadly, this deal is not available at locations in Quebec.

The ice cream dessert, which first dropped back in 1985, is easily one of Dairy Queen's claims to fame, not to mention it's served in a unique fashion. Anyone who has ordered a Dairy Queen Blizzard before knows the deal; once ready, the DQ team member flips the ice cream cup upside down — serving the Blizzard bottom up.

In fact, if a Blizzard isn't served upside down, it's technically free. While this practice is only followed at certain locations, it's never a guarantee.

Now, Dairy Queen Canada is serving up a small size of their signature dessert for $1 from March 11 to 31, 2024.

"The appreciation our Fans have for their favourite Blizzard Treat is almost as much appreciation as we have for our Fans. Seriously, we’re crazy about you. That’s why we’re making one of our most popular deals even sweeter," Dairy Queen said on its website.

To claim the small $1 Blizzard, Canadians must download the DQ app, sign up for the DQ Rewards and snag the sweet deal online or in-store.

"All you have to do is download the DQ app and sign up for DQ Rewards between March 11 – 31, 2024 and you’ll find the deal waiting for you" (…) "From ordering ahead and skipping the line to earning points when you’re signed up for DQ Rewards, you’ll save time and money," Dairy Queen said.

For customers who already have the DQ app, any and all existing DQ Rewards members will also find the deal pre-loaded on the app for you to use between the above dates.

Note that the app and DQ Rewards may take up to 24 hours to activate and appear.

Bon appétit.
