One of Montreal's favourite burger joints, Uniburger, is opening a new location in Verdun this fall. The restaurant made the announcement on Facebook on August 10.

Big 7 Travel has consistently ranked Uniburger's patties among the best burgers in Canada. It claimed the number two spot earlier this year and number one in 2019.

"What’s so special about these meaty sandwiches?" Big 7 Travel asked in February.

The answer: "their made-to-order burgers use only 100% AAA Canadian beef. And, they keep things simple in terms of toppings. With a patty this good, it doesn’t need anything added to it."

The new Verdun location is just the latest in a string of new openings. Uniburger has also popped up in Le Cathcart, one of several trendy food halls downtown.

In the spring of 2019, Uniburger opened a burger and wine bar in Old Montreal.

Uniburger has not publicly revealed the exact address of the Verdun restaurant, so stay tuned!
