Vaccinations will start as soon as Monday, December 14 and will be given at 20 sites around Quebec, four of which will be in Montreal.

Quebec is expected to receive 4,000 doses of Pfizer's vaccine against COVID-19, which can vaccinate 2,000 individuals, during this first week.

As many as 28,000 Quebecers could be vaccinated by January 4

These first doses will be given to CHSLDs in Montreal and Quebec City, which have been two of the major epicentres for the virus in Quebec.

Between December 21 and January 4, the Minister Of Public Health said 22,000 to 28,000 Quebecers could receive vaccinations.

In total, that means Quebec could be looking at 30k vaccines completed within the next three weeks.

Christian Dubé reminded us during his press conference on December 7 that these numbers are all approximates and subject to change, but said it's "excellent news."

All of these numbers are pending Health Canada's approval of the Pfizer vaccine.
